Engaging Students, Celebrating Educators, Creating Better Schools.

Days Until Digital Learning Day: February 5, 2014

In a global economy where the most valuable skill you can sell is your knowledge, a good education is no longer just a pathway to opportunity – it is a pre-requisite.

JogNog Challenge

JogNog created the Digital Learning Day Challenge to motivate students with digital learning technology. By combining friendly competition with high-quality Common Core content, JogNog aims to make learning – a lot of learning – fun and substantial for the month of February.  The school that learns the most wins! The top three schools in the competition will win trophies and recognition on JogNog’s social media pages. Schools win by having their students answer the most questions correctly from the game’s library of 60,000 questions, all of which can be accessed free of charge on Digital Learning Day – February 6, 2013. Anyone can play by entering the code EKXAR7F into the search box on JogNog.com or JogNog's mobile apps. (Games played for free on Digital Learning Day remain free to the player even after the challenge concludes.) Questions for grades 2-8 cover the entire Common Core State Standards – from statistics to Shakespeare. Students will have until the end of February to complete the challenge and bring victory to their schools. Check out the winners!

Digital Learning Day Artwork

Due to so many requests last year from teachers, Digital Learning Day will be providing ideas for ordering customized prizes for your celebrations. Please feel free to make your own posters to promote your participation in Digital Learning Day by using some of the Digital Learning Day artwork. Check out the Buttons & Banners page for artwork ideas!

Back to School Olympics

We are also offering new content to help you with your back to school activities, so stay tuned to participate in the first-ever Digital Learning Day Back-to-School Olympics starting Monday, August 20, 2012.  Each day, we will send out a series of clues leading students to great websites rich with content. The clues will support common core state standards in math and English language arts and will be categorized by middle and high school and can be included in your lesson plans going forward. The Back-to-School Olympics offers an educational, effective, and fun way for teachers to introduce students to new websites and talk about media literacy.
