How School and District Leaders Can Create the Conditions for
Innovation and Change

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (EST)

Leadership and school culture lay the foundation of successful schools. For digital learning to thrive, school and district leaders need to create conditions that empower teachers to take risks and try new things.

This DLDay webinar will feature veteran principal and rockstar, Jimmy Casas, diving into how school leaders can set the tone for transformation while also building trust. It will also catch up with Talladega County Schools in Alabama, featured way back on DLDay 2014. Superintendent Dr. Suzanne Lacey will share how the district is creating STEM opportunities for students despite funding difficulties. If that wasn’t enough to hook you, it’ll be moderated by former principal and district level leader Thomas C. Murray, who now dedicates his contagious energy to Future Ready Schools®.

How Librarians, Instructional Coaches, and Teachers Are Leading Innovation in Schools

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (EST)

See this exciting collaboration in action and get ideas about how YOU can build these partnerships in your school.

During this DLDay webinar, Prince George’s County Public Schools (MD) and Vancouver Public Schools (WA) will showcase their innovative partnerships. Panelists will share ways in which coaches and librarians collaborate with colleagues and leaders in schools and districts, the instructional role of coaches and librarians to ensure all students are successful learners, and why a team approach is essential to ensure equity for all students.
