Together We’re Better, Together We’re Future Ready Film Festival 

The Together We’re Better, Together We’re Future Ready Film Festival celebrates how schools overcome adversity and embrace innovation. The Future Ready Schools® (FRS) Digital Learning Day network seeks to capture, showcase, and celebrate the values, opportunities, and activities happening in schools and districts that demonstrate a growth mindset, perseverance, innovation, and collaborative leadership.

Create a short (no more than two-minute) video highlighting the film festival theme—overcoming adversity and celebrating innovation. Films may contain an additional thirty seconds of credits.

Films should highlight how teaching and student learning have changed and improved during the past year, celebrate innovation, and document how students and teachers benefit from digital learning strategies. Films should not include any brand names of products or services or copyrighted material that is not openly licensed. Films must properly credit any images, audio, or video that require attribution for their use. All submissions must include model releases for all recognizable individuals in the film stating that they consent to appear in the film and any promotional materials associated with the 2021 Digital Learning Day film festival.

Districts must create their submissions for this film festival specifically. Whether it’s funny or tugs at our heart strings, the narrative and storyline should be compelling, illustrative, and original. Final films are due by January 22, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Judging, Criteria, and Announcement of Winners

The Alliance for Excellent Education (All4Ed) will select a group of FRS Digital Learning Day network leaders to review and evaluate all submissions. All decisions are final. The review panel will select winners based on the following criteria:

The film conveys a cohesive storyline that explains how students leverage technology for authentic personalized learning experiences.
All4Ed will announce, and potentially feature, the top three films in each category on Digital Learning Day 2021 and share them at
